3 Ways You Can Help the Cost of Your Flowers

Something not many people realise until they are faced with the fact of the matter, is that flowers can be a big factor of your budget in any event. Who doesn’t like to save a bit where they can?! Keep reading on, for a few of my best tips on how you can not only help your flower budget, but also ensure great florals for your event!

Do Your Research.

Flowers are pricy, yes. Flowers are even more pricy when they are out of season and need to be imported. Even a quick search, about what is in season at the time of your event can shine a light on the direction of your arrangements. If you are after a certain look for your event, be mindful they may not be in season and have a few back ups that fit your aesthetic, just in case!

Pinterest is Your Friend.

Picture inspiration is such a huge help! it gives the florist a clear idea what you are after, and helps so they aren’t ordering over load of random things you probably don’t even want.

Be Flexible and Communicate.

Going along with tip #1, have backups and BE FLEXIBLE. Your specific flower which just so happens to be grown deep in the jungles of South America, is not available- what do you do?! Lucky for you, flowers usually have many many sister breeds ( keep in mind, sisters not twins), which your florist can suggest and will be accessible to fit your ideal image for your event!

Lastly, communication is key. If you have a budget you need to stick to, let us know. Any good florist will work the best they can to get as close to your budget as possible, within reason. When in doubt, your florist is always there to answer any financial or floral questions, you may have.
